Spring Break

We have had a busy past few weeks. Matt and I had birthdays and one week from today our sweet little boy will be one year old!!! I can't believe how fast time is going by!!!

Charlie has started walking really well! He's been walking for a little over two months now and actually runs from us sometimes. He is getting into EVERYTHING!!!

Charlie had his first ear infection last week. We had to visit the after hours clinic at Children's Hospital (which was wonderful by the way!) because our doctor had already closed and I didn't want to wait until morning to get him checked out. So, they prescribed him amoxicillin, which he had an allergic reaction to....so Monday we got him switched to a different medicine. He was a whole different boy by Tuesday.

My grandmother fell and broke her hip a couple of weeks ago and was able to come home yesterday so we went over there for a little while and Charlie was happy to see his Memom and Grandad! We are also glad she is doing much better.

Charlie started a new trick this week. Everytime he finds something funny he throws his head back and laughs with this silly little grin on his face. (its actually quite adorable).

He also has had his two top front teeth break through and really start to come down this week. You can see them really well when he is doing his new trick. It has been a very eventful spring break! I have so enjoyed this entire week with my little boy. I am not looking forward to going back to work, but only 10 more weeks until summer!!

I am so looking forward to celebrating Charlie's first birthday with family next week! Stay tuned for pictures!

It's a new year

Ok, so in this new year I will try to update my blog more, however I am also going to cook more and clean my house more so well see if that actually happens haha!!!!

So Charlie seemed to enjoy his first Christmas. He really loves all of his presents :). He was a little confused about why we were all tearing up paper and opening boxes but it didn't take him long to get the hang of it! And, it snowed on his first Christmas!!! Too bad he is too little to remember it! He wasn't much of a fan of the snow. He really didn't like being cooped up in the house for that long. He wanted to get out and go sale shopping :).

Charlie wasn't sure how he felt about Santa. At first, it was ok, but then when he turned around and really looked at him it freaked him out haha.

He went for his 9 month check up a few weeks ago and he was 22 pounds and 10 ounces and 29 inches long. He is a growing boy! He is wearing size 4 diapers, size 4 shoes and 12-18 month clothes! I cannot believe how much he has grown up!! He is not a little baby anymore. :(

In the last few weeks he has started taking steps on his own! The most he has taken by himself in row is 5. He can walk on his own he just doesn't realize it (which I am NOT complaining about!). I am so not ready for him to walk!!!

He is eating a lot of table foods now. He still HAS to have a bottle to go to sleep though. So he is taking them before naps and bedtime, but other than that he eats real food.

We took a weekend trip to Memphis. Matt had to do inventory on Saturday night, so Charlie and I went with him. Charlie was soooooo good on Saturday! We went and ate at Red Robin and shopped all day until daddy had to go to the store. Then, Charlie decided he didn't want to sleep well. A crying 9 month old at 3 a.m. in a hotel is very stressful!!! But, we survived :). Also, just as a side note I think they should have some hotel rooms that are baby proofed. I mean, I would pay extra to stay in it. It was so stressful having to move stuff in front of the outlets and making sure he didn't put things (remote, curtains, etc...) in his mouth! Whew, I'm glad we went, but I'm also glad its over :).

I can't believe in just two months he is going to be 1!!! Time flies!!!
